Timothy Mahi’ai White

Timothy Mahia'i White, Estate Planning Attorney

  • Born in Honoka’a, Hawaii, White moved to Oahu when he was 17 years old. Growing up, his passion for helping people in the community solve their problems pushed him into the field of law. His expertise has allowed him to help others plan and navigate through a relatively stressful area of their lives, with an impressive educational background that include certifications such as: a BA in Psychology from University of Hawaii at Manoa, JD with a Certificate of Specialization with Distinction in Taxation Law from Golden Gate University School of Law, and LLM (Master of Laws) in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law from Golden Gate University School of Law.

Living in a multigenerational household that spans through four generations (with the oldest person in their 90s), interaction with seniors is a norm throughout his daily life. As an Estate Planning attorney, many seniors reach out to him for advice and help, focusing on incapacity planning and succession planning. By helping put their desires into a legal document when they cannot do the same for themselves, his role allows him to create a sense of peace for his clients. Staying true to his vocation and helping others, he is an involved member of the local community and contributes in both legal and non-legal activities. A family man to two young children, White puts in time on the weekends with participation in beach clean ups and working in the lo’i at Ulupo every second Saturday. In addition to nurturing his existing relationships, his goal with clients is to make the process feel more like a relationship and less like a transaction.
