Lanakila Meals on Wheels is Oahu's largest and only island-wide meal provider for seniors. With meals conveniently delivered to your home, there's no easier way to stay nourished and fed. In addition to wellness checks by friendly volunteers, you may receive extra boosts of nutrition through The Green Bag, a fresh produce delivery service that supports local farmers.

If you need financial assistance, our staff is available to help you fill out and submit applications for benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), a federal program that provides individuals or families with money or food. We can guide you through the enrollment process, and can even apply SNAP benefits to purchase meals or The Green bag through the Lanakila Meals on Wheels' delivery program.

In addition, Lanakila Meals on Wheels wants to ensure you feel empowered to navigate this technology-driven world so we offer digital literacy classes to teach you how to use basic devices. Even if you're already comfortable with technology, the program holds regular online gatherings so you can learn new skills, chat, and most importantly, feel connected with others.

Lori Lau, Director of Lanakila Meals on Wheels has been a part of the organization since 2016. Growing up, her parents taught her the importance of food and its ability to bring people together. Knowing that so many seniors go hungry, Lori joined Lanakilia Meals on Wheels to be a part of the solution so that no kupuna is forgotten.

"Lanakila Meals on Wheels enables kupuna to live independently and with dignity," Lori says. "We're more than a meal. From delivering nutritious food and fresh produce to providing social interaction and digital literacy classes, we ensure kupuna remain connected to food and their communities."

Lanakila Meals on Wheels, an assistance program of Lanakila Pacific, has been serving Hawaii's seniors for over 50 years. Whether you live in Makaha, Hawaii Kai, or Kahuku, the nonprofit is committed to delivering their meals right to your door. Working with registered dieticians and chefs, their USDA compliant meals feature the local dishes and flavors you love.
