Major Jeff Martin

Major Jeff served in the U.S. Air Force for four years from 1974 to 1978, prior to being called to ministry and commissioned as a Lieutenant in The Salvation Army in 1980. His first appointment as an officer was in Lahaina Maui. He felt that God was calling him into the ministry of The Salvation Army. He saw the need and identified with the mission of the Army in spreading the good news, and in making a difference in the lives of others. As a divisional leader, he has taken up the responsibility of being a pastor and to lead the Army in this region by making sure they stay on mission. Major Jeff is an ordained minister as all officers are in The Salvation Army.

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor of Science in Management Studies from the University o f Maryland
  • Master of Science degree in Leadership from Grand Canyon University
  • Served in the U.S Air Force from 1974-1978
The Salvation Army – Hawaiian & Pacific Islands Division covers the state of Hawaii and the Pacific Islands including Guam, Saipan, Republic of the Marshall Islands and The Federated States of Micronesia. The Division offers a wide variety of programs throughout the islands including: adult day health services; affordable senior housing; at-risk youth services and housing; camp & conference center; family stores; food distribution and feeding programs; homeless services; The Kroc Center – Hawaii’s largest community center; preschools & day care services; social services – emergency assistance; substance abuse treatment; and work therapy & rehabilitation services.
