Joel Kurata, Element Mortgage

Element Mortgage

Summary of Services:

The Local Element:

Live here, lend here. We’re not an anonymous call center on the mainland. We live here and feel lucky to call Hawaii home, just like you. And it does make a difference. Our local presence and knowledge of the communities we serve have made us the leading lender of choice for our clients and real estate partners. People come back to us and refer their friends and family because they know that we live and lend with aloha. No matter you needs, we are here to help.

The Expert Element

One of the biggest financial decisions of your life. Let’s get it right.

While many mortgage companies talk about streamlining, simplify, and shortening the process, the reality is that this process isn’t always simple. Getting a mortgage can be intimidating – that’s where we make a memorable difference. Our commitment to you is to remain students of this always-changing industry. With myriad loan types and an endless number of scenarios, we promise to always be learning and looking for new ways to help you, our clients.

The Human Element

Technology can be great when you want it but having a human being there for you is essential in the home-buying/financing process. Many times, we need more than a button to push, we need a human consultant to guide us through the highly technical financing process. We take great pride in being available in person.

Experience:

Joel Kurata enjoys working with first-time homebuyers, investors and VA buyers to help them cut through the clutter and noise in the mortgage marketplace so they can quickly and efficiently find the loan product that is best for them. He works out of Kaimuki but can be found driving to meet his clients where they’re at on any given day. He values integrity and transparency in the process and always believes in upfront communication.

Joel was born and raised in Hawaii and matriculated at Hawaii Baptist Academy. He brings with him a strong finance background in order to better advise and serve his clients. He has experience in the public accounting industry: Wachi & Watanabe CPA (tax) and Deloitte & Touche (audit) and holds a current CPA license. He holds an undergraduate degree in accounting and a master’s degree in accounting – auditing, both from the University of Washington.

Now, at American Pacific Mortgage, Joel continues to work hard to help his clients purchase their properties and to protect their largest investment.

When not working, you can find Joel enjoying time with family and friends, participating in his local church, traveling, playing and singing music, playing basketball and obsessing over a new hobby (currently maximizing credit cards and rewards).
