Major Jeff Martin is an ordained minister of the Salvation Army and the Divisional Commander of the Hawaiian and Pacific Islands Division. He was ordained in 1980 and assigned to the Lahaina Corps/Church on Maui as his first appointment. While serving in the U.S Air Force, Major Jeff felt that God was calling him into the ministry and a year or so after, he began attending the Salvation Army with his wife serving alongside. Together they have two daughters with a growing family of four grandsons.
The various services that can be found through the Salvation Army include weekly church services, Adult Day Health Services at the Kaulewela Corps which provides respite for caregivers and gives our kupuna fun activities including exercise and socialization. There are also programs for all ages in all the communities where a Corps is located. On Oahu The Salvation Army has a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program in three different locations.
