He began practicing home care because as he says In Hawaii, we have a very unique culture and way of life, in comparison to the mainland. For the older adults and seniors in Hawaii, Steven found that kupuna want to age in place. This has been a common theme, not only for others, but his own family included. He strives to find a better way to deliver primary care to our kupuna, who many have issues in accessing medical care. The importance of his home visit program and practices serve a unique role in Hawaii, but helping senior to receive Primary Care directly in their homes.
