Jenny Ostlind

Growing up, Jenny Ostlind was an active athlete, motivated with the desire to encourage others to lead a healthy and active lifestyle. This desire eventually brought her to where she is today as the Healthy Lifestyles Director at the Windward YMCA. Her love for connecting with members at the Y has resulted in 16 years of experience in fitness, the health & wellness industry as a coach, a group exercise instructor, a personal trainer and fitness manager.

    • B.S. in Exercise Science from Boise State University
    • Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength & Conditioning Association
    • Certified group exercise instructor through AFAA (Aerobics & Fitness Association of America)

More than just a gym, the YMCA is a non-profit organization that serves our community and strives to improve the community around it. They offer a variety of opportunities to improve spirit, mind, and body through: Fitness classes, wellness centers and pools that offer a place for everyone to get fit and stay active, no matter what fitness level they are. There is something for everyone! To connect their members, monthly social events are conducted, from book clubs, to garden clubs to bingo, lunch and learn seminars, hiking and more. The Y wants its members to feel welcomed and connected to their community members. Volunteer opportunities through monthly service events and quarterly projects. These projects help to strengthen the community by giving back and partnering with like-minded non-profits and other organizations. A focal point for the Y is our youth development which focuses on providing quality programming such as STEM, cooking, arts and crafts, skill building, leadership development, physical fitness and social responsibility through our A+ programs, summer day camp, and teen intersession programs.
